Why Mathagonal Circle?
At Mathagonal Circle, we strive to open up a fun new world of mathematics
where students of all capabilities can participate.
This is a platform, where students cultivate a growth
mindset towards math. Here they can freely share their experiences, foster camaraderie
and have fun. They
can use strategies, experiment, be creative, work with others, struggle,
succeed, or even let the problems go unsolved. So, no pressure. In addition to
delving deeper into math topics, the focus is on competitive math as well, to
unleash their true inner potential.
We believe every student is unique and has the potential to learn the
subject once it starts makes sense to them. This platform helps students to
become better problem solvers and critical thinkers with strong reasoning
ability, which is required to tackle life’s challenges.
Mathagonal Circle Activities
Our Mathagonal Circle (math circle) activities are conducted in
different schools and non – profit organisations. These activities take place
once a week either during school hours or as an after-school activity for
students of grades 4 to 8. Students form smaller groups (junior and senior
groups) and the math circles are supported by the school’s respective math
teachers. The program includes group and independent activities, engaging
students as they follow carefully sequenced and structured concepts and are conducted
both online and offline.
Our focus is on schools that may have limited resources and these math
circle activities can help fine tune their students’ math skills through
finding resources, fostering collaboration and competitions.
